G Help!

What is the desired impact of the project at the local, regional, national, European and/or international levels?

How will you measure the previously mentioned impacts?

Nadia needs some help. Can you present your suggested impacts?

A project concerning ENTREPRENEURSHIP will bring new value into school curriculum. Although some aspects of small business are included in our curriculum, pupils have not had an opportunity to implement their ideas into a real life company, particularly on the international level. Most of them are expected to  cross the barrier between the virtual world where they are accustomed to  spending most their free time and the real world where knowledge, experience and skills are indispensible to achieve the level of life they look forward to.

We expect a deeper involvement of parents and local  stockholders and business people to support our activities. Thus they should realize that the school prepares pupils not only theoretically but also in a more practical way for their future real life.

The project will have  the European /international impact on our pupils … Except Turkey, all pupils live, in the countryside, far from big cities. They are unlikely to meet foreigners, not to mention to collaborate with them. The project will make it possible to work on the international level from the scratch. This will show our pupils that they do not need to move to the big city to get a good job.
The pupils will have to become familiar with various countries, culture, including religious aspects. They will have to  learn about others  and be tolerant, ???….. flexible to  collaborate and make their small-firm successful. Due to the project they  will learn to focus in the future on the competences of their co-worker, employee rather than on their background.

We expect our students will develop the key  21st century skills: creativity, communication, collaboration, digital, critical thinking, personal and social responsibility.

The project encompasses three areas:
1) entrepreneurship
2) ICT
3) foreign languages

Ad1) The success of the students international company   will the greatest achievement of the project. The students will be able to include their participation in the project into their curriculum vitae. Combination of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values should help pupils to be much better prepared for the future professional life.

Ad2) We will use the Innovation Maturity Model (Eduvista) which is a self-review tool that enables schools to assess their current level of maturity in how they use ICT. It also provides a model for exploring what “innovation” means in terms of learning and teaching. If we use this tool at the beginning and at the end of our project we will be able to measure the progress our schools made during the  project lifespan. The project will engage teachers of various school subjects. Thus they will also improve their ICT skills to supervise pupils’ progress and to assist them during the project  lifespan .

Ad3) Having create a  mini-company  in their school exclusively,  students would be limited in using their second language. Only a company working on the international level will give them opportunity to use English as a common language. Contrary to perfect English known from lessons, they will become familiar with various national accents. Teachers will organize the common test at the beginning and at the end of the project to estimate the progress of our students. To document the level …we will use Europass.
